MATRIX provides three levels of Coupa integration to SAP® technology:
- A “Light Touch” OK to PAY
- Purchase to Order process
- Complete Purchase to Pay integration
Let’s examine each option:
1. A “Light Touch” OK to PAY
In the OK to Pay scenario, Coupa is used to manage the entire procurement process up to the point of payments being made. At this point, the payment details are sent to SAP® system for processing. Master data (supplier/vendor) is mastered in the ERP system along with cost objects to be used in Coupa (GL Codes, Cost Centres, Internal Orders, WBS Codes, Assets etc.)
2. Purchase to Order Process
Some elect to use Coupa to manage purchase requisitions, approvals and ordering, with invoice matching as well as payment carried out in SAP® system.
Master data (supplier/vendor) is mastered in the ERP system along with cost objects to be used in Coupa (GL Codes, Cost Centres, Internal Orders, WBS Codes, Assets etc.)
3. Complete Purchase to Pay integration
This option is chosen by organisations who want to go further with automating processes – typically by introducing EDI for supplier invoices and automating invoice matching in SAP® system.
Master data (supplier/vendor) is mastered in the ERP system along with cost objects to be used in Coupa (GL Codes, Cost Centres, Internal Orders, WBS Codes, Assets etc.)
